Privacy Policy for JobFitAI

JobFitAI is an Android app that helps users create professional job-specific resumes, CVs, cover letters, and job match analysis using AI. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, how it is stored, and what choices users have.

1. Overview

JobFitAI is designed to be a simple, guest-first app. Users do not need to create an account, sign in with Google, or subscribe to a paid plan. The app does not offer premium memberships, paid subscriptions, or cloud sync.

The app uses anonymous Firebase authentication only to securely access AI generation services. Career profile information, saved documents, and generated resumes are stored locally on the user’s device unless the user chooses to export or share them.

2. Information You Provide

JobFitAI may process information that you type into the app, including:

  • Name and contact details you choose to include in a resume or CV
  • Work experience, education, skills, certifications, projects, and achievements
  • Career goals and job descriptions
  • Resume, CV, cover letter, and job match content
  • Other information you voluntarily enter for document generation

This information is used to help generate, edit, preview, save, and export job application documents.

3. Local Storage

JobFitAI stores the following information locally on your device:

  • Career profile details
  • Saved resumes, CVs, cover letters, and job match results
  • Template selections
  • Rewarded-ad generation credits and temporary template unlocks
  • App settings and preferences

This information is stored on your device and is not synced across devices. If you uninstall the app or clear the app’s data, locally stored information may be deleted.

4. AI Generation and Processing

When you request AI analysis or document generation, JobFitAI sends relevant information you provided, such as your career profile and job description, to a secure backend service using Firebase Functions. The backend service uses an AI provider to generate resumes, CVs, cover letters, job match analysis, and related content.

JobFitAI does not intentionally store your career profile, resume content, or generated documents in a cloud database for multi-device sync. You should not enter information that you do not want processed for AI generation.

5. Anonymous Authentication

JobFitAI uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication. This creates a temporary anonymous user ID so the app can securely call backend services and help prevent abuse. This anonymous ID is not used to create a public profile and does not require your name, email address, Google account, or password.

6. Advertising and Rewarded Ads

JobFitAI may show rewarded ads. Rewarded ads may be used to earn extra AI generations or unlock locked templates.

Advertising partners, such as Google AdMob, may collect or process information such as device identifiers, advertising ID, ad interactions, approximate device information, app activity related to ads, and diagnostic information.

7. Analytics, Crash Reports, and Diagnostics

JobFitAI may use services such as Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app performance, diagnose crashes, and improve the app. These services may collect app interactions, crash logs, device type, operating system version, app version, diagnostic data, and anonymous identifiers.

8. Information Sharing

JobFitAI does not sell your personal information.

Information may be processed by service providers needed to operate the app, including Firebase Authentication, Firebase Functions, AI generation service providers, Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics.

9. No Cloud Sync

JobFitAI does not provide cloud sync for saved documents or career profiles. Your saved resumes, CVs, cover letters, job match results, and career profile details remain stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

10. No Paid Subscriptions

JobFitAI does not currently offer paid subscriptions, premium memberships, or in-app purchases. Locked templates or additional AI generations are accessed through rewarded ads, not paid subscription plans.

11. Data Retention

Locally saved data remains on your device until you delete it inside the app, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app. Anonymous authentication and technical service data may be retained by Firebase, advertising partners, analytics providers, or AI service providers according to their own service practices and legal requirements.

12. User Control and Deletion

You can control your information by editing or deleting saved documents inside the app, editing or clearing your career profile, clearing the app’s storage from Android settings, or uninstalling the app.

13. Children’s Privacy

JobFitAI is intended for users who are preparing job application documents. The app is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can review the issue.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect app communication and backend access, including Firebase Authentication and secure backend services. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. Users should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information into the app.

15. Third-Party Services

JobFitAI may use third-party services that have their own privacy practices, including Firebase, Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and AI generation service providers.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
